Invasive Species In Our Local Marine Environment

AMSEAS biologists introduce participants to invasive species that have made home in New York waters. The lecture will teach participants the term invasive species, how they invade our waters, and introduce a few invasive species we see here in New York.

We will also discuss how invasive species have further impact our marine life and New York’s economic connection to our waters. By the end of the lecture participants will have a further understanding on invasive species and how they can directly help make a difference in their environment. The lecture will conclude with an open-ended discussion to touch base on any questions the lecture may not have addressed.
