Interested in helping Atlantic Marine Conservation Society (AMCS) promote conservation of the marine environment through action? Join us for an information session! On the third Thursday of every month we will meet to discuss what our organization does and how you can get involved, including joining our volunteer program, participating in a beach cleanup, attending a lecture, and more. Conservation starts with you!
After getting to know AMCS, biologists will be discussing all of the effort that goes into examining a large whale that strands on the beach. Demonstrations of the equipment used, including personal protective gear, will be included in this portion of the program. Necropsy examinations require a lot of support from our volunteer core, so this training is a great introduction to those who are interested in helping with that work.
